Looking for someone with a ‘green thumb’

Dear Editor: Last year a group of neighbors formed the Hoboken Island Association to beautify the islands on 11th Street. People with an interest in gardening were assigned spots on the islands and the neighborhood pitched in with financial support and help on spring and fall planting days. The city fully supported us with a $1,000 “Clean Cities” grant and an automated watering system. Spring is now upon us and one of our original gardeners has moved from Hoboken. Is there anybody out there who would be interested in taking her place.? You don’t have to be an experienced gardener but should enjoy getting out in the nice weather and working with plants. You would be free to design your own planting. My experience has been that you will get lots of compliments and appreciation from the neighborhood. If you are interested call me at 798-2648.
