Dear Editor: In response to Mary Mills letter of January 9, I want to make clear that the city’s plans for Palisade Avenue have always focused on helping owners fix up their buildings. The city never had any interest in demolishing existing neighborhoods. Those who made her believe that the city might knock down her building caused her needless fear. Bret Schundler Mayor
