Dear Editor: All of the people of downtown Jersey City lost a great friend on the passing of the Rev. High Fitzgerald of Saint Michael’s Church. This quiet, unassuming priest was a giant in his time. Only God knows how many people were helped/assisted by this wonderful human being. In my many conversations with him, I found a person who was caring and concerned for all. The smile on his face, twinkle in his eyes, his humor, humility and compassion towards all proved his concern for mankind and attachment to God. Indeed, Saint Michael’s Church was packed at his funeral. He will never be forgotten by all who knew and loved him. Dennis Hayes
