High powered Chargers roll to 10-0

Leading the pack at (9-0), the Chargers looked to take one more step towards an undefeated season as they faced the (0-8) Eagles to close out their week 7 JCC of Bayonne Sr. Division Flag Football double header. The first half had all the makings of a “Let down game” as the Chargers held a 24-12 lead as Alejandro Cifuentes (1 TD, 4 expts), Anthony Baez (1 TD), Christopher Caballero (1 TD), and Aaliyana Cifuentes (2 expts) put up points for the Chargers while Ezekiel Lupianez (1 TD) and David Matos (1 TD) kept the Bengals in the hunt. After a little fine tuning at halftime, the Chargers’ offense erupted as Aaliyana Cifuentes (3 TDs), Alejandro Cifuentes (4 expts), Christopher Caballero (2 expts), and a two point safety rocketed to Chargers’ advantage to 50-12. Swamped by the Chargers’ scoring blitz, the Bengals tried to claw back as catches by Jack Kruchkowski and Mariam Rasslan helped to set up another TD toss to David Matos. Holding a commanding 50-18 lead, the Chargers turned to the back of the playbook to tryout some gimmick plays which resulted in another scoring barrage as Caballero (2 TDs), Alejandro Cifuentes (2 TDs, 2 expts), Aaliyana Cifuentes (6 expts), and another safety lit up the scoreboard for an 84-18 Chargers’ victory.
