A funeral service was offered at Carmichael Funeral Home on Dec. 8 for Roslyn A. Pizza, 87, of Marietta, Ga. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Dec. 5. Born in Union City, she lived in Hoboken until 1987 when she and her late husband John moved to Marietta, where the family was reunited. She was a Girl Scout, a Girl Scout leader, and member of the CYO. Upon graduation from Emerson High School in Union City, she worked at Yardley Soap, Union Carbide, and for many years at Washington Savings Bank in Hoboken.
Her life was her family. She was predeceased by her husband, John G. Pizza, and her twin brother Glenn Havlicek. Surviving are her four children, Dr. Bradford Pizza, Bhrett Pizza, Esq. (wife Terrie), Pamela LaQuaglia, and John B. Pizza and extended family members Roger Diaz and Sandy Pontius. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Dolores Pizza of New Jersey. A great joy in her life were her seven grandchildren Jonathan, Vanessa, Justin, Taylor, Gabriella, Peter, and Carmen and her one great granddaughter, Alexandra Pizza.
