Capturing their first victory of victory of the season, the (1-5) Bears hoped to stay on the winning track as they faced the (7-0) Colts as the JCC of Bayonne Jr. Division Indoor Flag Football league entered week six. Jumping out to a 16-0 lead with Aaliyana Cifuentes getting things started with a “Pick Six” interception return followed by a 20 yard TD catch and two point grab with Aviv Talmor tacking on a two point scamper, the Colts quickly took charge. 16-6, Colts. Unable to stop the Colts passing attack, the Bears once again fell prey to a long TD strike to Cifuentes who also added a two point catch to put the Colts up 24-6. Opening the second half, the Bears roared back with TDs by Mariam Rasslan and David Matos with the Asouti brothers, Amir and Louai notching two point plays to pull the Bears within two points trailing 24-22. Locked in a dog fight the Colts went to their running game as speedsters Alina Danelyants and Toni Rivada raced up court to take time off the clock and set up another TD toss to Cifuentes followed by a Rivada two point dash as the Colts escaped with a 32-22 win.
