Canned food drive, Christmas and Holiday Party hosted by Bayonne Republican Club – all are invited

To the Editor:

As some of you have read, and learned about in our recent meetings, the Bayonne Republican Club is reorganizing in town. We have a strong voter base of Republicans and independents in Bayonne, and as the town continues to change, it’s important for all to know that a new base of support exists to provide a balance of thought.
We know that the Republican name can by itself inspire certain feelings, especially this year. But it’s important to explain what we as Republicans stand for. Many of the ideals we value and goals we have may not even seem ideologically driven, and that is because they are not. They are driven by common sense.
For example, when I walk 10 blocks down Broadway from my home, I can count 10+ store fronts that are for rent or sale. When I speak with friends and colleagues from the city, they aren’t interested in moving to Bayonne because there isn’t direct access to New York. To help offer new ideas for addressing these challenges, the Bayonne Republican Club is the growing body that will organize plans for how to make Bayonne an even better place to live. We are putting together a platform and would love your help.
One of the first initiatives we are organizing for the town will be a canned food drive for the holidays. Beginning after Thanksgiving, The Bayonne Republican Club will collect canned food submissions at Judicke’s Bakery on 34th and Broadway. The drive will end with a Christmas and Holiday party on Thursday December 8 at 7 p.m. at Hendrickson’s, where canned food donations will also be accepted.
Please send any questions or RSVP responses to me directly at rjwalkerv05@gmail.com, or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ryanjackson.walker. Again, while this party will be hosted by the Bayonne Republican Club, all are invited and encouraged to join!
