SECAUCUS – Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey has announced in a press release that the company has successfully negotiated a new contract agreement with Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus.
The agreement means that Horizon’s members who seek care at the hospital will benefit from lower out-of-pocket costs and care delivered at in-network facilities.
In the release, Horizon’s Senior Vice President for Healthcare Management Allen Karp said, “Contracts like this one are critical to controlling the cost of health care and protecting patients from surprise or excessive medical bills.”
The hospital’s Board Chairman Dr. Richard Lipsky said, “Remaining in the Horizon’s hospital network demonstrates our hospital’s commitment to quality care at a reasonable cost.”
