98, of Bayonne, passed away surrounded by her family on September 21, 2016 at the Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center. Eleanor was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident. She was a Retired Secretary for the Jersey City State College where she worked for many years previously working at the Hudson County Prosecutors Office in Jersey City, and Harry Melnick Esq. in Bayonne. Wife of the late George Deverell and Walter Thornburg. Mother of John J. Deverell and his wife Cheryl and Eleanor Vivian Deverell. Grandmother of Danielle Marie Sharrocks and Jon Nicholas Deverell.
