JERSEY CITY — Last week, Donna Cabell called the newspaper crying because her little Maltese dog, Ka’lar, had disappeared while her daughter was walking him. Donna was home recovering from surgery and was worried about her pet. She said she hadn’t slept in days.
On Monday, Donna called the newspaper and said, “I have my baby back!”
Apparently, the little dog had somehow wound up all the way at Ferris High School. A woman welcomed the dog into her home and cared for him for days. But eventually she saw an article in the local newspaper about Cabell’s search.
Cabell said the woman almost didn’t want to give the dog up. Thank God she did a good deed and returned the dog so Cabell wouldn’t be heartbroken any longer. Cabell gave the woman a small reward.
