Funeral mass was held Sept. 16 at Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus, for Dorothy Domino, 86, of North Bergen, formerly of downtown Jersey City. She passed away peacefully on Sept. 13. Dottie found lifelong happiness in taking care of the family and friends she so genuinely loved. Widowed at an early age, Dottie raised her daughters and then became a devoted and very spirited grandmother who never missed a beat. She enjoyed volunteering at Jersey City’s St. Mary’s High School and parish, rooting for the NY Yankees, watching any show featuring actor Tom Selleck, spending time with her beloved pet dog Zeppelin, and relaxing at the Secaucus Pool and the Jersey Shore.
Dottie helped her father at the Jerry Hudson Produce Company and later moved on to retire from the Colgate Palmolive Company. But, even after that, she worked part time for the North Bergen Columbia Park Shop-Rite. Dottie is predeceased by her parents Jerry and Anna (Horvath) Gennaro, and her husband Thomas Domino, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Gerri Domino (Maribeth Miller) and Joanne Aguilera, grandchildren Daniel and Jaclyn Aguilera (Matt Clay), brother Gerald Gennaro and sister-in-law Judy, nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends, including her favorite travel and lunch buddy Dolores Gennaro.
Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
