MOSCA, ALPHONSO

98, was born in Bayonne on October 1, 1917. Al passed away at his home surrounded by his wife Catherine (Kay), his children and grandchildren on August 29, 2016. Al was a decorated WWII Veteran, attached to Patton’s Finest 4th Armored Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received in action between St. Eny& St. Germain-sur-Seves, France, 1944. Additionally he received the distinguished medal of Services from the State of New Jersey. Al was a member of the New York Chapter 4th Armored Division, Charter & Life Member of CWV Post 1612. He retired from the Military Ocean Terminal after 25 years of service. Al is survived for 68 years to the former Catherine Cupo of Newark. Holding his memory are his four children: RoseAnnFichman and Ron Thompson, Gerald Mosca and Sarah Pepin, Charlene Bini and husband Bart, Christine Dee and husband Kevin and his six grandchildren: Krista Jurs and husband Frank, Bryan Bini and his fianceMariarosaVocaturo, Jacquelyn Mosca, Catherine Dee, Ryan Dee, & Francesca Dee.
