COSTANTINO, NICHOLAS A.

A celebration of the life of Nicholas A. Costantino, 49, was held at La Reggia’s Banquet Hall on Aug. 11. He lost his lifetime battle with Cystic Fibrosis on Aug. 4. He passed peacefully while surrounded by family and friends. Niki was a 13-year resident of his adopted hometown of Hoboken, however he was raised in Secaucus. Niki graduated from Secaucus High School in 1984 before attending the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After several years of working as an accountant at Costantino & Company, a family owned accounting firm, Niki became an accomplished and respected real estate agent, business owner and mentor to many within the industry. In his time as a real estate agent Niki was awarded 15 Circle of Excellence awards, served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Liberty Board of Realtors for four years and was named the Realtor Associate of the year for 2011. After working as a sales associate for a number of years Niki co-founded Empire Realty LLC in Hoboken along with his partners and helped guide the boutique realty firm to a Hoboken brand. Recently Empire Realty was transformed into Engel & Vlkers, an international real estate brokerage.
Beyond the awards and accolades, Niki will forever be remembered and respected within the real estate community as a friend and confidant who was generous with his time, experience, advice, and above all else, his unwavering willingness to make himself available to employees, co-workers, clients and other realtors in times of need.
Niki was a dedicated Yankee, Notre Dame football and Carolina basketball fan, a lover of music specifically Bon Jovi and avid reader of spiritual philosophy.
Niki is survived by his mother Jo-Ann Costantino and brother Robert Costantino, along with his nephews Anthony, Alex, and Dean Costantino. Niki was predeceased by his father, Nicholas F. Costantino, who passed away in 2014.
