91, passed away on August 1, 2016 surrounded by her family at the Parker at McCarrick Nursing Home in Somerset. Mary was born in New York City and grew up in Greece. She moved back to the United States and resided in Bayonne for over 58 years. She was the wife of the late John Democritos. Mother of Christine Democritos, Nicholas Democritos and the late Marika O’Rourke. Grandmother of Joseph Democritos, Bridget O’Rourke, John Francis O’Rourke, Stephen Bechtolt and Eleni Democritos. Sister of the late Katina Voul-garopoulos. She was a housewife, and a seamstress, retiring from Town and Country in 1987. She was a member of Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Jersey City.
