BUONFOGLIO, GENNARO

A mass of Christian burial took place on July 18 at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, for Gennaro “John” Buonfiglio, 69, a lifelong Hoboken resident. He passed away suddenly in the presence of his family. A retired plumbing supply salesman, John was employed for many years at the Adams Sales and Plumbing Supply in Hoboken and later Palermo Plumbing Supply in Fairview, totaling more than 30 years at both locations.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia “Ginger” (nee DeCesare); his only son, Jonathan “John” and his wife Nicole; his daughter, Marielle and her husband Vincent; and his two granddaughters, Addison Ann Mezzina and Antonia Grace Buonfiglio. Through the years, John shared a special relationship with his sisters-in-law and their spouses, Isabella Minervini and her late husband Felice, Claire Baldassari and her husband Vincent, and Marie Daseking and her husband William. Many nieces and nephews shall also miss his earthly presence.
