A funeral mass was celebrated June 16 at St. Francis Church, Hoboken, for Francis X. Bertotti, 93, of Hoboken. He died June 12. Born in Hoboken and a lifelong resident, Mr. Bertotti was a checker on the Hoboken piers before retiring after 50 years. In the 1960s, Francis and his brother John Bertotti owned and operated Meyer’s Hotel on Hudson Street in Hoboken. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Church of Hoboken all his life. Frank was also a past exalted ruler of the Hoboken Elks and a member of the ILA.
Mr. Bertotti was predeceased by his wife Patricia (nee McNamara) and survived by his four children: Mark Anthony and wife Karen, Maura, Kevin Bertotti and Kelly Ann Cutillo and her husband Thomas Cutillo. He was the grandfather of Thomas, Anthony, and Daniel Cutillo, Catriona Smith and Francesca Bertotti. Services arranged by the Earl F. Bosworth Funeral Home, Hoboken.
