Funeral services were held June 3 at the Salem Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Deacon Hurley Brackins Sr. “Mr. Hurley” of Jersey City. He passed away on May 26. He was the husband of Deaconess Nina Brackins; father of Hurley Jr., Ronnie L., Michael and Deborah Brackins; brother of Leon Brackins, Deaconess Annie P. Williams, Evera Smith, Winnie Blackwood, Vertice Johnson, Gloria Copeland, Yvonne Lammons, Ernestine Copeland, Shirley Brackins and Cleofornia Salter. Also survived by six grandchildren, one great grand, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
