Real estate summit attracts 350 professionals

Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty and the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) Northern New Jersey Chapter recently hosted the first New Jersey Real Estate Summit at the Westin Jersey City Newport hotel.
The summit attracted over 350 real estate professionals from the metropolitan area for two days of networking opportunities and presentations by industry leaders, including corporate executives and developers, brokers and realtors, economic and legal experts, and mayors Steven Fulop of Jersey City and Mark Sokolich of Fort Lee.
Fulop commented on growing real estate developments deeper into Jersey City and farther away from the waterfront, and praised Jersey City as the most diverse city in the nation, saying he expects it to develop into the largest city in the state of New Jersey.
Mitchell E. Rudin, CEO of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, praised Jersey City for achieving greater rents than other desirable cities and projected that,“Jersey City is well on its way to be the best mid-size city in America.”
Immediately following the opening general session, multiple breakout sessions were held where moderators and panelists spoke about contemporary real estate topics.
Keynote Luncheon speaker Dr. Lawrence Yun, Cheif Economist and Senior Vice President of Research at National Association of REALTORSº discussed real estate trends and market forecast, and was followed by Allan Dalton, President and Co-Founder of TownAdvisor.com who relayed the importance of realtors creating community connections for success.
