After romping through their first JCC of Bayonne Indoor Floor Hockey Jr. Division game with a 13-2 victory, the Bruins turned their attention to game two versus the Red Wings. With their red hot offense still on fire, the Bruins built a 6-0 advantage as Sebastian Valles torched the net for five goals while Toni Rivada added a scoring dart. Keeping her word, the Red Wings’ Kaily Delauter put her team on the board with a Birthday promise goal off an assist from David Matos. Holding a 6-1 lead, the Bruins kept pouring it on as Christian Benson railed in a goal with Brenden McCall on the assist. Benson then teamed up with Valles to close out the scoring as Valles racked up 8 goals on the day with three more net jets. Down 10-1, the Red Wings tried to “throw the kitchen sink” at the Bruins with William Hulsman, Anthony Baez, and Delauter blasting away while guarding an open net. The move was exciting to watch but the Bruins held tough for the win.
