BAYONNE – According to an official from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, two people were struck by a tractor trailer today at 10:30 a.m. at GCT Bayonne. A 53-year-old truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. A second person arrived at Jersey City Medical Center this morning, conscious and alert, with a pelvic injury and rib fracture.
The scene is under active investigation by the Port Authority Police.
