HOBOKEN – A 55-year-old Hoboken man allegedly “exposed his genitals and began to gratify himself” in full view of an adult and a 3-year-old on Wednesday April 20, the Hoboken Police Department said in a press release.
“Officers were dispatched to the area of 14th and Washington Streets [around 5:07 p.m.] on a report of a male exposing himself in front of a children,” Hoboken Police Sgt. Edgardo Cruz said in an email.
The man, 55, of Hoboken, was confronted by Police Officer Nathaniel Arocho according to police officials.
“He became confrontational and positioned himself in a fighting stance,” the press release says. “Officers were able to subdue the male and placed him under arrest without injury.”
The man, whose name will be posted here once we confirm it a second time, was charged with sexual assault, aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and lewdness.
He was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility on a $20,000 bail with a ten percent option.
