HOBOKEN – Children under 18, at-risk pregnant women, and adults who lent a hand during Superstorm Sandy recovery in Hoboken can take advantage of free blood lead screenings in Hoboken tomorrow April 21 and April 28 from 9 to 11 a.m. and Noon to 2 p.m.
“A copy of the blood lead screening results will be provided to each individual or the child’s parent or legal guardian,” the City of Hoboken said in an announcement.
On Oct. 29 2012, Superstorm Sandy devastaetd Hoboken. 500 million gallons of water flooded the streets and 90 percent of the city lost power.

In addition to testing, educational materials will be provided to discuss the effects of lead poisoning, nutritional guidelines and common household conditions that may contain lead hazards.
The testing will be conducted at the Multi-Service Center, 124 Grand St. – SR
