The Berkeley College School of Health Studies was created to provide career-focused education in some of today’s most in-demand healthcare professions – in clinical specializations, as well as healthcare administration and management.
Practical Nurse graduates provide care to their patients in a variety of healthcare environments, including physicians’ offices, clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home healthcare settings.
Patient Care Technicians work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to oversee and monitor patients. As vital members of the healthcare team, they provide direct patient care and comfort measures, take vital signs, collect specimens, and more. Patient Care Technicians who are multi-skilled and cross-trained in venipuncture, electrocardiography, and home healthcare enjoy broader responsibilities and advancement opportunities.
