A funeral mass was offered March 4 at Sts. Joseph and Michael church for Joseph E. Petrich 97, of Secaucus. He passed away Feb. 29. He was born in New York City and lived in Union City and North Bergen most of his life before moving to Secaucus two years ago. Joseph was a truck driver for Baltimore New York Express in Jersey City for many years before retiring. He was a Navy veteran serving during World War II as well as an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Club and Teamster’s Union Local 560.
Joseph was the husband of the late Rita Petrich. He was the father of Harold Petrich and the late Joseph Jr., Robert and Peter Petrich. He was the father in law of Pauline, Lois and Susan Petrich as well as the grandfather of Christopher and Kerrie, Todd and Tatum Petrich, Dana and Danny Ackerman, Pamela and Rob Mercer and Samantha Petrich and seven great grandchildren.
