was born, one of six children, on August 5, 1923 to the Late Rev. Charles Caesar, Sr. & Mariah (nee Alexander) Clark in Raleigh, North Carolina. Catherine transitioned on Sunday, February 7, 2016 to be with her Lord. Catherine received her education in the Raleigh, N.C. School System. After moving to Jersey City, NJ, Catherine later met and married the late Fletcher Bingham and this union was blessed with one daughter, Joyce Mayo. Catherine became a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Bayonne under the leadership of the late Rev. Gibson and remained as a faithful servant under the Pastorate of Rev. Henry Gene Sykes. Catherine leaves to remember her are her Daughter, Joyce Mayo (Melvin, Sr.); Grandsons, Melvin Mayo, Jr. & Christopher Mayo (Caren); Nieces & Nephews: Thelma Hardy, Robert Harlee, Richard White, Ida Hawkins Perry, Marietha Wilson, Doris Clark (all of North Carolina); and Goddaughters, Dr. Flora Cordett (California) and Imani Jones; Godson Sidney Hagans; Brother-in-law James William Hawkins; Friends: Frances O. Thompson; Susie Gibson, Alan & Cynthia Delbridge; and Linda McMichaels; as well as a host of other Relatives, Friends and Church Family.
