A memorial mass took place Feb. 13 at Sts. Joseph and Michael Church in Union City for Martha Babot, 81, of Union City. She passed away Feb. 8. She was born in Havana, Cuba and lived for much of her life in Union City. Martha was a teacher’s aide for the Union City Board of Education for over 25 years before retiring. She was the mother of Mercedes Babot-Goldfarb and her husband Irvin. She was beloved by her many former students and colleagues. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
