Clothing drive for Broadway fire victims halted

BAYONNE – The victims of the Jan. 19 fire on Broadway between 33rd and 34th streets do not need any more clothing donations at this time, the office of Mayor James Davis has announced.
“On behalf of the fire victims, we would like to thank the people of Bayonne for their generous donations of clothing,” Davis said. “Their immediate need for clothing has been taken care of.”
The mayor said that the victims still have other needs, which could be met through gift card contributions to the families.
Those interested in donating gift cards to the victims are encouraged to purchase them at city stores and drop them off at the Mayor’s Office in envelopes marked, “Broadway Fire Victims.”
