A celebration of the life of Peter B. Flaum, 80, will scheduled for a later date. After a brief illness, Peter passed away Jan. 17 surrounded by his loved ones. Peter, son of the late Louis L. and Ethel Flaum, was raised in West New York and attended Memorial High School. He graduated from The Chiropractic Institute of New York and had a career over forty years as a chiropractor, being instrumental in furthering the profession. He was a founder, board member, and past president of the New Jersey Chiropractic Society and had many other professional affiliations. Most importantly, he provided healing care to his many patients.
After retirement, he pursued his life-long love of art, created his own studio and enjoyed sharing his works as well as mentoring others who shared his passion. He also appreciated the adventure of travel, only missing one of the seven continents. He is survived and forever loved by his wife Linda Hamlin, his children, Stephanie Shapiro (Howard), Douglas Flaum (Sandra), Allison Flaum (James Mahoney), Suzanne Flaum, and his grandchildren Zachary, Hannah, Ben, Alex, Dylan and Hunter as well as his sisters-in-law, Marcia, Jackie and Lisa and their extended families.
