No one asked the residents of Ward C

Dear Editor:
Some people feel the closing of Newark Avenue to create a residential mall is a success; the problem is no one asked residents of Ward C who use Newark Ave on a daily basis and faces daily gridlock now. This problem will only get worse when the DOT closes Palisade Avenue Bridge. When the public meetings took place on the closing of Newark Avenue not one meeting was held in Ward C. So I guess, this administration thinks it is Ward E and then the rest of the city.
The residents of Ward C needs access to emergency vehicles, this administration should reverse its decision and reopen the street, especially during the closing of more streets by DOT in connection of the ongoing renovation of Route 139. Ward C pays taxes, too.
