Thanks for the turkeys

To The Editor:

On behalf of the Windmill Alliance, Inc. and its social services program, H.I.G.H.W.A.Y.S, I would like to recognize and thank those citizens who donated and delivered 300 turkeys just before Thanksgiving. The turkeys and all the trimmings were donated to help needy families here in Bayonne.
The Thanksgiving food drive was in memory of Cookie Daughtry, a past employee of the city of Bayonne. Cookie began this food drive more than 21 years ago and it continues today through the generosity of many. H.I.G.H.W.A.Y.S would like to thank Mayor Davis and council members, employees and directors of the city of Bayonne, and Assemblyman Elect, Nicholas Chiaravalloti. We would also like to thank Joe Pagano and Inserra ShopRite for their contribution. Last, we would like to thank Meghan Luzzi, Brian DellaBella, and Dorothy Rosckowski, who organized this Thanksgiving food drive.
Thanks to all, and may the memory of Cookie Daughtry continue to live on through the good works of others.
