Subacz Stars Again as Bears Win

Still smarting after giving up 70 points to the high powered Colts, the Jets hoped to rebound as they took on the (6-3) Bears in their JCC of Bayonne’s Indoor Flag Football Jr. Division night cap. Starting out with a familiar tone, the Jets found themselves down 8-6 after a TD by Chase Cohen (Jets) and a TD and two point play by Dylan Subacz. With their defense once again on the ropes, the Jets surrendered 16 more points as Adonis White (1TD) and Dylan Subacz (1 TD, 4 expts) put the Bears up 24-6. Going to their bigman, the Jets made it 24-12 as Cohen rumbled 35 yards to paydirt. Trying every trick in the book to jumpstart their offense, the Jets dusted off the “wishbone” formation and after a 20 yard sprint by Jack Kruchkowski and a 10 yard sweep by Brenden McCall the Jets found themselves in scoring range. After watching the Jets roll, the Bears’ defense finally dug in to stall the Jets and hold their 24-12 advantage. Unable to pierce the endzone, the Jets fell prey to a Bears’ scoring barrage as Subacz racked up four more TD’s and a two point play while Adonis White also added a two point grab. Fueling the Bears’ offensive fire power, the Bears’ Anthony Fraser gave the Jets secondary fits as his skillful route running prevented the Jets from “double” covering Subacz as the Bears rolled to a 52-12 win.
