Happy 100 to Frank Sinatra

Dear Editor:
In celebrating Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday, (born December 12, 1915), the list of notables grows longer with each passing year. I find it just wonderful to participate in the festivities and add my thoughts to the many tributes to Ole Blue Eyes. His choice of material and the honesty in his voice as he vocalizes is absolutely thrilling and that’s why the talents of the man from Hoboken, NJ will be with us forever.
From A to Z as in ‘All of Me’ to ‘Zing Went The Strings of My Heart,’ Frank did it all! The recently released ‘Frank Sinatra: A Voice On Air’ from Legacy Records is a 4-CD compilation of Frank on radio and features many songs he never recorded. It’s a ‘must get’ collection and serves as icing on Frank’s birthday cake. If that’s not enough, check out ‘Siriusly Sinatra’ on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. I, along with music artists- Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, jazz singer Peggy King and the Philly based All Star Jazz Trio, actress/singer Jane Powell, Global Productions musician/talent promoter Billy Jon Coogan, big band vocalist Harry Prime, music archivist Anthony DiFlorio III, DJ Jonathan Schwartz, DJ Ronnie Allen, Music Dir. George Roumanis, WYYR program director Chris Valenti, author Will Friedwald and the millions of Sinatra-philes around the world join me in wishing Francis Albert Sinatra a joyous Happy 100th Birthday!
May you have nothing but ‘Blue Skies’ ever more!
