Bayonne Football “Fighting Bees” matchup against the Kardinals of Kearny HS was not the only thing that had students and campus visitors alike buzzing on Friday, October 30. The game also marked Bayonne High School “Homecoming”.
The annual festivities feature not only the crowning of King and Queen, and recognition of seniors for the BHS Cheer, Football, and Marching Band programs, which takes place during pre-game of the football game, but also a number of traditional campus events.
Those events include a pep rally, banner decorations and balloons hanging along the stadium bleachers, a parade from City Hall to Don Ahern Veterans’ Memorial Stadium, and a number of different activities held at the stadium throughout the evening.
This year’s “Homecoming” was also highlighted by the BHS Football “Fighting Bees” winning results versus the Kardinals of Kearny HS: Varsity 46-0, Junior Varsity 27-14, and Freshman 30-8, respectively.
