84, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2015, at the Bayonne Medical Center, with her family by her side. Marion was born in Jersey City, and resided there until moving to Bayonne 14 years ago. She graduated from Saint Paul the Apostle Grammar School in Jersey City, Holy Family Academy (1949), Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing (1952). In 1971, she earned a B.A. in Public Health from Jersey City State College. She was a proud R.N. She worked in the Emergency and Operating Rooms at the JCMC and in public health prior to her marriage. She was a longtime member of the Jersey City Quilting Guild where she was affectionately known as “Yo-Yo Marion”. Wife of the late Frederick J. Beckert. Mother of Helen, Bridget, and Frederick J. Beckert. Sister of Dorothy Pritchard. Her only brother, William Pritchard predeceased her. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
