Funeral mass was celebrated Oct. 10 at St. Aedan’s Church in Jersey City for Michael J. (Buddy) McCrohan, 85, of Jersey City and Whiting. He passed away, surrounded by his family, on Oct. 5. Buddy was employed as a printer, retiring from Scott Printing in Jersey City in 1995. He enjoyed reading and traveling, but most of all, spending time with his family and friends, telling jokes and sharing stories.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cecelia McCrohan; his daughter Nancy Monaghan and her husband Scott; grandchildren Tela Nicholas, Scott, Michael and Spencer Monaghan, Annie O’Connell Hatch and her husband Austin; great grandchildren, Ethan Nicholas and Kapri Hatch, as well as many relatives and friends. Buddy was predeceased by his son, Richard (Ricky) McCrohan, his daughter, Michele (Shelley) O’Connell and her husband, Michael; and brothers John (Sonny) Drury, James McCrohan and Edward McCrohan.
