Funeral mass was celebrated Oct. 13 at St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City, for Ellen DiMase, 62, of Jersey City. She passed away at Alaris Health Care Center in Kearny on Oct. 7 while surrounded by her family. A lifelong Jersey City resident, Ellen worked as a probation officer for child support in Hudson County for the last 30 years. Ellen was predeceased by her husband Michael John DiMase; friend Sal DiSiervo; brothers, Leonard, William and Robert Caskey and sisters, Margaret Zuzio and Roseanne Walters. She is survived by her sons, Michael John DiMase, Jr and his wife Ann, Mark William DiMase and his wife Theresa and Matthew Nicholas DiMase and his wife Erika; grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Paige, Michael John, III, Catherine, Brandon and Theresa; sisters, Patricia Kidney, Marcy D’Elisa and Virginia Jusino and many nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention.
