A funeral mass took place Oct. 8 at Our Lady of Mercy Church for John O. Parker “Jackie” of Jersey City. He passed away Oct. 3 at the Veteran’s Hospital, East Orange. Jackie was a truck driver for 30 years, retiring in 2011. A United States Army veteran, he served in Viet Nam. He was the son of the late Catherine and John J. Parker; brother of Mary Koenig, Sally Caron, Barbara Parker, Dolores Petersen and the late James Parker, Anne Lafferty and Catherine Breitweiser. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
