To the Editor:
The family of James N. Rentas thanks the city of Bayonne and its surrounding communities for the continued support these past eight years helping to raise funds for cancer research. Whether you live here in Bayonne or travel a great distance, it is rewarding to see you year after year. The event grows every year because so many of you bring family and friends to participate. For this, we thank you.
We also wish to acknowledge the presence of Dr. Nancy Kemeny and her family and of course her wonderful team of nurses from MSKCC who cared for “our Jimmy” (and us) during his illness. It means the world to us that you remember him and think so much of him that you attend this event. We love you.
Our hearts are overwhelmed by the generosity of our family, friends, neighbors, and sponsors. It is so very much appreciated. It goes a long way in helping Dr. Nancy Kemeny’s Pump Research Fund continue the research needed to one day beat this horrific disease.
We look forward to seeing you in September of 2016.
