A funeral mass was offered Sept. 14 at Assumption/All Saints Church, Jersey City, for Luis Figueroa, 81, of Jersey City. He passed away peacefully on Sept. 9 at his home in Jersey City, surrounded by his family. Luis was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico. He was a maintenance worker for St. Peter’s Church, All Saints Church, and Provident Savings Bank before retiring from maintenance work at Montgomery Ward. He loved to play pool and spend time with his children and wife of 58 years Maria D. (Quiles). Luis was the brother of Carmen Delia, Jorge, Juanita, Ruth E., Elizabeth, Daniel and Carmen Lidia. He was the father of five sons and daughter-in-laws, Angel and Jackie, Eddie and Dorethea, Rene and Edna, Edwin and Lisa, John and Nilda; and four daughters and son-in-laws, Lourdes Rosado and Tony, Myrtha Magliulo and George, Sylvia and Alberto Luis, and Nancy. Luis was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services arranged by the Michalski Funeral Home, Jersey City.
