PADUA, HERODES

Funeral services took place Sept. 4 for Herodes Padua, 81, of Jersey City. He passed away Aug. 29 at home, surrounded by his family. Born in Lares, Puerto Rico to the late Virgilio and Antolina Padua, he moved to Jersey City in 1955. He was a resident of Mercer Street for over 53 years and a member of the Church of The Nazarene. A hard working family man, he worked as a machine operator for Mullers Macaroni Company in Jersey City for 30 years, retiring in 1996. Herodes was predeceased by his brother Erico. He was the husband of Felicita Padua and father of Henry and his wife Barbie and Walter and his wife Jane. He is survived by his brothers Jose Luis and Juan Hector, sisters Elia, Iris, and Daldi, brother-in-law Caesar Camacho, sister-in-law Mary Rosario, and six grandchildren. Services arranged by the Introcaso Angelo Funeral Home, Jersey City.
