Real estate office moves up

The industrial chic look of Re/Max Gold Coast Realty’s new digs on Washington Street was made possible by world-renowned designer Vanessa DeLeon.
This past week, on Wednesday, Aug. 26, the Hoboken real estate agency celebrated the opening of their new office at 306 Washington St. with guests including Mayor Dawn Zimmer. The move comes 20 years after they opened their first office on Newark Street near CVS Pharmacy. Now that they have relocated, a new business will fill that space.
Gold Coast Realty is among more than 100 Re/Max offices across the state.

“The space is about 50 percent bigger but configured differently,” said the owner of the Hoboken branch, Daniel Voehringer. “I tried to get here when I opened the original office 20 years ago, and just every space I tried to chase on Washington, somebody else came in and bid it up.”
What may seem like your ordinary real estate office from the outside, transforms as soon as you enter, with reclaimed wood making up the furniture and a full wall map of Hoboken in 1881 displayed in the entry. Many will recognize DeLeon’s Cuban-inspired rustic style from HGTV’s Generation Renovation, NBC’s American Dream Builders and The Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible.

Awards and charitable work

Last year, Re/Max Gold Coast Realty was named the No. 1 Re/Max office in the state for commissions, chosen from as many as 180 offices. Voehringer attributes the success of his office to his staff and a service-oriented culture.
Voehringer said the new location on Washington Street allows for more visibility and a chance for the company to continue to prosper.
“The market here is so strong and consistent; it’s a great place to live.” added Voehringer.
Since initially opening in 1995, the office has also consistently provided for the community including donating to the Hoboken Shelter, fundraising for The Coleman Foundation Inc. to find a cure for cancer, and partnering with the Children’s Miracle Network – which donates money per rental or sale made by the real estate agents.
Every year the Hoboken office also feeds between 75 to 100 families on Thanksgiving Day and arranges gift baskets for families in need.
Following the celebration, Re/Max Gold Coast Realty held an open house for real estate agents in the surrounding area. To contact an agent at RE/MAX Gold Coast Realty call (201) 795-0100 or visit www.hobokenproperties.com.
