Funeral services were held Aug. 13 at Temple Beth-El, Jersey City, for Esther Krieger, 95, of Jersey City. She passed away Aug. 10. Her late husband, Charles K. Krieger, a financial analyst and investor, was Interim Mayor of Jersey City in 1971. Esther and Charlie Krieger were steadfast supporters of human rights and the State of Israel. They were active members of their synagogue, Temple Beth-El in Jersey City, where they were married in 1957 and where Mr. Krieger served as president from 1971-1972.
She is survived by a nephew, Elliott Berkowitz, of New York; great nieces and nephews Jane, Erin, Robb, Mindy and Rory and great-great nieces and nephews Anna-lei, Sydney and Abraham. Services arranged by Gutterman Brothers, Jersey City.
