A private burial will be held at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City in the fall for Stefanie Caracappa, 43. She passed away at the hospital on her birthday, July 28, in Naples, Fla., after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. Stefanie was born in Jersey City to James and Theresa Presti Caracappa. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Hoboken. Stefanie resided for many years on Barley Point in Rumson where she worked as an esthetician. At the time of her death, Stefanie was employed by Gloss Salon as an esthetician and a local art gallery, Gallery One, in Naples.
Stefanie is survived by her parents, James and Theresa Caracappa and her brother, Edward and his wife, Julie Caracappa; her brother James and his wife Carmela Caracappa, and her brother Joseph Caracappa. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Eva Kadrey and her friend, Chris Wodynski. She is also survived by her aunt Phyllis Presti Chericoni and uncle Roger Chericoni and her aunt Rosemarie Presti Castellitto. Stefanie is predeceased by her sister, Camille Caracappa.
Stefanie is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Anthony and Amanda Caracappa and their daughter, Andrea Vincenza; Dominick Caracappa and Morgan Duke Cunningham and their children, Amelia Rose and Ian Samuel; Marco and Joseph Caracappa; Michael and Bianca Caracappa; and Nicolaj Caracappa. She is also survived by her cousins.
