To the Editor:
The August 5, 2015 letter to the editor “Discussing tax abatements” by Frank Barone referred to the guy making an accusation about Mack-Cali and Demarco’s brother. That “guy” is Matthew Kopko, a real-estate lawyer.
Although the Business Administrator Demarco stated that there was no financial gain by him, his brother, or anyone else in his family and that his brother became employed in June, which was after the April redevelopment issue, could there possibly be a hint of an “influence” connection?
Also, this “guy” Matthew Kopko is a Bayonne resident who is the Republican candidate for Assemblyman in the 31st District.
