Funeral services were held Aug. 7 for Margaret Zapantis 82, of North Bergen. She passed away Aug. 4 at Englewood Hospital from the effects of cancer.
She was born to Lucy and Carmine Fascio in Jersey City at Margaret Hague Hospital, her namesake. She was the youngest of nine brothers and sisters. Brothers Leon and Andrew, Sisters; Rose, Jean, May, Clara and Mary. Raised in Union City she attended Catholic school and went on to be a productive member of the New Jersey embroidery industry.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Christina; granddaughters Jennifer and Katie; son Steven and his partner Andra, and daughter Heidi.
