BAYONNE –The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has announced that the Bayonne Bridge will be closed from late Friday night, June 12, through Sunday morning, June 14, to accommodate ongoing construction work on the span.
The bridge will close from 11:59 p.m. Friday, through 8 a.m. Sunday. The bridge will then remain open until 9 a.m. Monday, June 15.
The Bayonne Bridge shuttle service, which provides alternate transportation for pedestrians and cyclists, will only operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 14.
The closing was coordinated with other state agencies working on regional transportation projects to lessen traffic impacts.
