NORTH BERGEN – The township’s annual LEAD Day (Law Enforcement Against Drugs), previously known as DARE Day, will take place on Wednesday, June 10 beginning with a kickoff ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and running until approximately 2 p.m. at the North Bergen Recreation Center, 6300 Meadowview Ave.
Over 700 fifth grade students who have graduated from the anti-drug program will spend the day enjoying musical performances, games, rides, refreshments, and more. The annual event also features a performance by Lori Michaels and her “Reach Out” anti-drug awareness group, a rock-climbing wall, demonstrations by the US Army, and much more.
