Spirit Awards, the highest non-academic honor a student at Saint Peter’s Prep can receive, were presented to students at a recent liturgy, continuing a 33-year Prep tradition of recognizing the unsung heroes of the school community. The first Prep Spirit Awards were presented in November 1981 when the late Fr. John Browning, S.J. ’46, then principal of Saint Peter’s, began this tradition. Quinn Williamson, ’15, of Jersey City was cited for his leadership at Prep and in Jersey City, as the founder of the Jersey City Youth Alliance. Marc Wright, ’15 of Bayonne was recognized for his warmth and infectious spirit, his enthusiasm, and his love for Prep. He was also commended for his work as Prep’s cantor at Masses and through the plays and musicals.
