BAYONNE – The Bayonne Memorial Day Parade is scheduled to kickoff on Monday, May 25 at 10:30 a.m., so the parade committee has announced assembly points and the line of march for participating groups.
This year’s parade will be held in memory of Spc. Rafael Nieves Jr. and Petty Officer 3rd Class Dennis Miranda. After its kickoff at 5th Street and Broadway, the parade will travel up to 32nd Street, where it will end.
Memorial Day Parade Committee officers are: Chairman Glen Flora, Secretary Barry Jones,
Chief of Staff John Zmyslowski, Color Guard Captain Frank Perrucci, and Chaplain Louis Giovanni.
The line of march is:
First Division Staging (on corner of 5th Street): U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard, and Grand Marshal Glen Flora, in a military Jeep; the U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting Station Memorial Day Parade Committee Banner. Fourth Division Staging (from Lord Avenue to Orient Street): Red Mike’s Band, Donate Life Hudson Group, Hudson County Sheriff’s Department, Hudson County Correction Department

Omega Lodge, Wallace Temple, Bayonne Youth Center, Gary La Pelusa Association, and Bridgemen.
Any other groups wishing to participate will be placed at the end of the line of march, according to parade spokesman John Zmyslowski.
The parade rain date is May 31.
