72, Chairman of the Board of Directors of both CarePoint Health–Bayonne Medical Center and the CarePoint Health Foundation, passed away after a valiant struggle with ALS. He was CEO of various hospitals for more than 30 years, including 14 years as CEO of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, and over four years as CEO of Bayonne Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, He received his masters degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Public Health in 1966 followed by his Ph D from the University of Pittsburgh in 1973. He is survived by sons Joshua Alexander and Seth Andrew Kane; daughter-in-law Erin Ashley Kane; former wife June Kozak-Kane; brother Robert Kane; nieces and nephews, and caregiver Daniel Acquah.
